Business owner Alyce Nicholson is a Whangamata local passionate about bringing calm and order to peoples' lives. She loves to get stuck in and do the jobs others find tedious or overwhelming, and brings a wealth of unique experience to her business. She spent six years in the Royal New Zealand Navy, starting out as a Steward / Officers Waitress and progressing up to a Leading Hand in charge of ratings and running her own department within the ship. She holds a level one and two in City and Guilds Hospitality and Catering with distinction and has participated in and placed in various waitressing competitions over the years. Alyce has organised a wide range of events including cocktail parties and weddings and has also managed cafes during her hospitality career. She is an avid cleaner as well, working for some exclusive venues including Brenton Lodge in Whangamata.
